Social Capital And Community Resilience: A Comparative Study Of Urban And Rural Networks
Keywords:
Social Capital, Community Resilience, Urban Networks, Rural NetworksAbstract
This study investigates the role of social capital in shaping community resilience across urban and rural regions. While urban communities exhibit higher network diversity and institutional linkages, rural communities demonstrate strong bonding relationships and collective action. Using a comparative analytical framework, this research highlights how variations in trust, reciprocity, and network structure influence the capacity of communities to respond effectively to social and environmental challenges. The findings suggest that integrating both bonding and bridging forms of social capital can significantly enhance resilience outcomes in diverse settings.
