Abstract

Family structure plays a pivotal role in shaping adolescent psychological well-being, influencing emotional stability, social skills, and cognitive development. This paper examines how variations in family composition—including nuclear, extended, single-parent, and blended families—affect adolescents’ mental health outcomes. Drawing upon sociological and psychological frameworks, the study explores the mechanisms by which family dynamics, parental involvement, and sibling interactions contribute to resilience or vulnerability. Two empirical graphs highlight trends in adolescent well-being across different family structures and the correlation between parental support and psychological health. The findings underscore the importance of family-centered interventions and policy measures to promote healthy adolescent development.
